Where do I park?

Park on the grass along our driveway. Or park next to our house on the parking pad. There are additional spaces in the grass heading down the drive to the workshop. DO NOT PARK ON KAUFFMAN ROAD—VERY DANGEROUS!

What do I do once I arrive?

Head to the workshop to check in. It’s the large red building in our backyard. Enter through the French doors. Once everyone in the session arrives, we’ll take a farm tour.

What will we do in the workshop?

We will discuss materials and best flowers for pounding. Step by step, we’ll practice pounding a flower and a leaf, outlining them with ink, and filling gaps with watercolor. Then, you’ll experiment with different flowers and greens. Finally, you’ll design a 4 x 6 composition and create your best work. This we will frame so you may display it at home.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and shoes. It’s hot and the terrain is lumpy. We suggest applying sunscreen and bug spray before you arrive. The workshop space is air conditioned.

Do I need to bring anything?

Nope—just a desire to hammer!

Do you have food and drink?

We will provide light refreshments, but you’re welcome to pack snacks and BYOB.

Can I bring my dog?

No. But you can say hi to our dog Barley. Be aware she is blind…yeah…

Can I post pics on social media?

Uh, yeah! Please tag Merry Bees Flower Farm!
