Our Story
Merry Bees Flower Farm, founded in 2021, provides locally grown flowers, greens, and wreaths to customers in and near Northern Baltimore County, just south of the Mason-Dixon Line. Our six-acre property has been in the family since the 1970s, and this is where we raised our three children.
The area was once called Bentley Springs because of the therapeutic natural springs that bubble up locally, but the region is now known as Parkton. Though Parkton has developed a lot in the last few decades, it retains the rural character of centuries past. Within a mile of our home, a former railway line has been converted into a nature trail that we enjoy year-round when not working at our full-time jobs, Erik as a nonprofit CFO and MB as an English teacher at Hereford High School.
As responsible stewards of the land, we use organic practices in our farming and continue to develop a welcoming habitat for native creatures—including merry bees!
